FAQ
Operating a dry-type transformer inside a high-protection (IP54/IP65) outdoor enclosure requires advanced thermal and moisture management:
1) Thermal Dissipation (Cooling): Unlike indoor IP20 mesh enclosures, IP54 enclosures restrict direct airflow. To solve this, the enclosures are designed with specialized heat-exchange labyrinth louvers or active forced-air exhaust fans on the roof that prevent rain/dust entry while vigorously pumping out the hot air generated by the resin coils.
2) Condensation Prevention: In outdoor environments, rapid temperature drops at night can cause moisture in the trapped air to condense into water droplets on the high-voltage coils, posing an arcing risk. To combat this, the outdoor enclosure is equipped with an automatic anti-condensation heater. Controlled by a humiture (humidity + temperature) sensor, the heater activates automatically when ambient humidity spikes or temperature drops, keeping the internal air dry and the insulation safe.
