Installing a 1600kVA dry-type transformer requires focusing on large-scale structural handling, extensive layout adaptation, and highly efficient ventilation. Core precautions include:

1) Installation Layout Adaptation: Maintain a safe distance of ≥1.5m from surrounding electrical equipment and cables. Reserve a broader maintenance channel of ≥1.2m to ensure safe operational space for this large footprint.

2) Cooling Space Reservation: Ensure a clearance of ≥1.5m above the unit and ≥1.0m around the sides. Do not install in completely sealed spaces. Natural airflow must be unobstructed. Given its reliance on AF (forced air) cooling, the room must be equipped with adequate ventilation ducts for optimal heat exhaust.

3) Power Match & Grounding: Ensure the input/output voltages strictly match the 10kV grid. The enclosure and core must be reliably grounded with a resistance of ≤4Ω to provide uncompromised leakage protection.

4) Handling & Flexible Mounting: This unit is very heavy (approx. 3800kg). It must be handled strictly using dedicated heavy-duty lifting gear, ensuring no bumps occur to the resin windings. For floor installation, the ground must be flat and solid, utilizing robust standard brackets. Tilting can impair both insulation and cooling performance.
