FAQ
The air-cooled dry-type transformer relies on an integrated smart temperature controller linked to PT100 thermistors embedded within the low-voltage windings. The automated logic guarantees safety without manual intervention:
1) Fan Activation (Approx. 100℃): During normal loads, the unit relies purely on Natural Air (AN) convection. If the load increases and the winding temperature reaches approximately 100℃, the controller automatically starts the bottom-mounted Forced Air (AF) fans. This instantly boosts the cooling efficiency, allowing the transformer to carry up to 1.5x its rated load.
2) Fan Deactivation (Approx. 80℃): As the peak load passes and the high-velocity air drops the winding temperature down to around 80℃, the fans will automatically shut off to conserve energy and reduce noise.
3) Overheat Protections: If the temperature continues to rise despite the fans running, the controller will issue an audible/visual Alarm at 130℃. If extreme conditions push the temperature to the critical threshold of 150℃, it will trigger an automatic Trip, instantly disconnecting the circuit to prevent irreversible insulation damage.
